I was considering dressing my 1:12 scale action doll in a Japanese outfit. However, I found that the length of Azone’s hakama, which resembles a pleated skirt, was too long for my Picco Neemo S. This led me to purchase an Assault Lily MATSUNAGA Yui, who has a taller, former Picco Neemo M. Now, it is time to dress her in a 1/12 Kyudo (Japanese archery) Clothes Set.
As in the photograph above, the wakiaki, which are unsewn parts at the upper sides of a hakama, are represented in this hakama from the Kyudo Clothes Set. In this post, I omitted the dark red belt with a snap fastener under the hakama to keep Yui’s waist thin.
The black breastplate from the Kyudo Clothes Set is not centered on Yui’s breast because its right strap is not long enough for her LL Bust. Probably for the same reason, the collar of the white jacket is difficult to close. The furry glove for the right hand is hard to fit on her fingers. It is also difficult for her to grasp the thread wound grip of the bow.
The navy blue of the hakama from the Kyudo Clothes Set contrasts with the white of the jacket. It also complements the light reddish brown of Yui’s hair. These colors form a clean tricolor scheme.
